Received L.A. City Commendation for Tree Planting Project in new Van Nuys Civic Center Mall area (City Beautification Project)
Rotary Beer Booth at Van Nuys Airport Air Show May Company Grand Opening ticket sales fundraiser 42 (members and spouses) attended Bishop Safari
Trip to Rosarito Beach, Baja California, Mexico, to deliver school supplies Two teams in Bowling League
Busload and two Vans of underprivileged children to a Dodger Game A Whale-watching trip to Baja California
Interior reconstruction and renovation of old Van Nuys Library for member, Lois Lee, and her "Children (women) of the Night" organization
Conducted "Career Day" at Van Nuys High School
Annual Track Meet at Birmingham High School.
Casino Night fundraiser for members and open to the public Help promote and conduct RYLA program
Valentine's Day square dance party
Four trips to Rosarito Beach to build a 2nd floor on the Red Cross Hospital and add plumbing and electrical for a commercial washer & dryer that we supplied (about 5-6 trips for entire project) Donated new Rescue Annie dummies to the Red Cross for CPR training
Participated in Van Nuys clean-up day
Golfer/Putter Fundraiser: Golfers got ball to the green; non-golfers did the putting (55 players/65 dinners)
An Arts & Craft Show at the corner of Burbank/Balboa Boulevards A Family Barbecue Lunch and tour of Autry Museum social event Interior construction work at Tierra Del Sol
Club awarded the "Thirsty Harshman" award from PDG Howard Mark for top attendance in District for past three months and club programs during the year
Civic Awards Luncheon for Outstanding Police Officer, Firefighter, Business Person, and Teacher, Of The Year
Developed and produced a bilingual "Substance Abuse" booklet in Spanish/English, with guidance from the Van Nuys High School Health Instructor, for distribution to Van Nuys, Birmingham and Grant High Schools.
Established a joint committee with Woodland Hills Rotary Club, led by Bob Rice and incoming District Governor Dave Woods, to plan and put together Club, District, and International 
matching funds to build dams in farmland outside of Taxco, Mexico. Dams would provide year­around water for area residents -- a goal for completion in Dave Woods' year.
35 Van Nuys Rotarians attended District Conference in Palm Springs, CA
