Last week Saturday, GVNRC joined Rotarians for Environmental Action (REA) and 4 other Rotary Clubs  to plant 30 trees in the beautiful City of San Fernando.  It was a community service project with Tree People.  The training, support and tools were provided by Tree People.
The goal of this project in the community, is to "reduce urban heat islands and save our planet", in the words of Jim Montgomery, member of REA.  We succeeded in planting 30 trees at the event and gave each tree a name.

It was such a rewarding event, knowing that as Rotarians, we are helping to provide more green space, cleaner air and beautification of the community.  Thanks to every Rotarians who participated on this project.
